Image Rights - The Irish Times

The Irish Times – An Irish law firm has raised the profile of Guernsey and its Image Rights legislation in an article appearing in the Irish Times.  The article commented that as Ireland is a common law jurisdiction similar to Guernsey, a Guernsey image rights judgment may be enforceable in Ireland.  Enforcement aside, the article interestingly added “a court may query the value of one’s image if one did not register one’s rights in the only such register in the world”.  Interesting indeed – Terry Wogan, Brian O’Driscoll, Pierce Brosnan and others kindly take note!
