Corporate ownership of super yachts can offer a variety of benefits including the limitation of liability, enhanced confidentiality, the potential to mitigate tax liabilities and the simplification of the passing of assets to the next generation on death. Our corporate services include the incorporation of a company in a suitable jurisdiction and provision of directors, officers and nominee shareholders and of all administration necessary to keep the company’s affairs in good order.

Flagging

British registered yachts require comprehensive documentary records to be completed at the time of registration and therefore subsequent purchasers obtain good title when the vessel is sold on. This also offers direct benefits if a purchaser is seeking financing from a lending institution since legal ownership is easily established. International maritime law requires every vessel over a certain size or operating internationally to be registered to prove both ownership and nationality. British registered yachts are entitled to fly the “Red Ensign”, the most famous and respected of all flags. Marine safety standards are constantly improving and compliance with British registration requirements ensures that vessels are maintained and manned to the highest order.

Whilst specialising in the registration of vessels on the British flag we can register vessels in a number of jurisdictions, each having their own merits, such as Malta, the Cook Islands, Marshall Islands, Cayman Islands and the Isle of Man.
